Christmas Gift Exchange Dice Game
This holiday season, liven up your Christmas gathering with a fun Christmas dice gift exchange game. We love playing this simple game at our family holiday party or with friends as a White Elephant party game. It always gets lots of laughs, and it's a blast to play.
Kids, teens, and adults can all play the gift exchange dice game together, which makes it the perfect Christmas game for the whole family. All you need to play is dice and a Roll the Dice rules sheet which makes it an easy game to host.
It's a great way to get everyone at your Christmas party playing a game together. I'm sure it will become a new tradition to play every Christmas season with friends and family.
How to Play the Christmas Dice Game
1. Ask all your party guests to bring a wrapped gift to the holiday party.
I would suggest giving your guests a price range for buying Christmas gifts. This game is just for fun so usually something between $10-$30 is plenty.
If it's an Ugly Sweater Party or White Elephant party ask them to bring funny gifts.

2. The party host needs to have one die to roll and a Roll The Dice rules sheet. These are the Christmas Dice Game rules I use and have up in my Etsy shop.
You can print out a sheet for each guest in a smaller 5x7 version or print out just one sheet in US Letter size for the host to read after each roll. This makes the game super easy!
3. On the night of the party, set up chairs in a circle for all the players to sit while playing. This will make it easier to pass presents.
4. When guest arrive, have them put their wrapped gifts on a table or under a Christmas tree. When it's time to play, ask each guest to pick a gift and sit down in the circle.
Now you're ready to play the Pass the Gift game.
5. There are two ways to pick the first player to start the pass the dice game. It can either be the youngest player or draw numbers and let the lowest number begin.
6. The first person will roll the dice and follow the rules for whichever number they roll.
For instance, if they roll a 3, they swap gifts with the player to their left, if they roll a 4 everyone will pass gifts to the right.
7. Once you roll to unwarp the gift, you are out of the game and can now open your Christmas gift.
8. The game is over when the final gift is unwrapped and everyone has a holiday gift to take home.
Large Group Tip: If you have a large family gathering it may take too long to get the whole group to roll the correct number to unwrap their gifts.
So you might want to set a time limit for the game and when you hit the time limit whichever gift is in your lap is now your gift to open. This will then end the game.
